Recording is always disclosed
Every screening greeting states the call is recorded before any recording starts. That’s enforced in the software itself: no code path can record first.
Screening someone’s phone calls is a serious responsibility. Here is exactly how we handle recordings, data, and consent, in plain English.

Trusted contacts ring straight through. No screening, no recording, no log entry. Your parent’s private life stays private.
Call recordings live in private storage and open only through expiring links, only for your family’s accounts. We never sell or share data. Ever.
The text-filter keeps redacted snippets (enough to show you what was blocked), never the full message body.
Application logs never contain readable phone numbers: they’re one-way hashed. Raw numbers exist only in the encrypted database.
Protection is set up with your parent’s consent, recorded with a timestamp. It’s their phone; they can have screening turned off at any time.
If any part of our screening service has an outage, unknown calls fall back to polite message-taking. They are never rung through unscreened, and callers never hit dead air.
Real emergencies have a path: your family’s trusted contacts always ring through, and family-emergency calls always escalate to a human decision.
